Apple has increased the price of older iPhone models by $100

Following the presentation of the iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro models on September 9, Apple raised the prices of previous-generation iPhones by $100.

While the iPhone 16 was sold for $699 last week, its price is now $799. The iPhone 17E with 256 GB of storage now costs $699 instead of $599. Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 with the same storage capacity is priced at $899. The price of the iPhone Air has also increased from $999 to $1,099.

The base iPhone 18 model was not shown at Apple's September 9 presentation. Instead, the company focused on the iPhone 18 Pro, starting at $1,199, and the iPhone 18 Pro Max, which is $100 more expensive. Pre-orders for them will open on September 12, and sales will begin on September 18. The smartphones run on the A20 Pro chip developed by Apple. Built on a 2-nanometer technology, the chip features a 6-core CPU, a 7-core GPU, and two 16-core Neural Engines.

According to the company, thanks to a new cooling system, the iPhone 18 Pro delivers up to 40 percent higher sustained performance compared to the previous generation. The eSIM version of the iPhone 18 Pro Max can playback video for up to 45 hours. The battery can be charged up to 50 percent in about 15 minutes.
