Apple has announced how much the folding iPhone will cost

Apple plans to showcase its first folding smartphone at a presentation to be held on September 9. It is reported that one of the main topics of discussion at the presentation of the new device will be its price. It is noted that Apple will set the starting price of this model in the range of $2,099 to $2,299.

The version of the smartphone with higher technical specifications could be even more expensive. According to Chinese media, the iPhone Ultra model with 2 TB of internal storage is expected to be sold at a price above approximately $3,000.

The high price of the new iPhone is influenced not only by the folding design, but also by the general increase in the cost of the smartphone's components. According to experts' estimates, the price of a standard 256 GB memory module has increased by almost 400 percent compared to last year.

Due to the rising cost of memory and other components, the total cost of components for the new smartphones could increase by 10–20 percent. It is assumed that the company will absorb part of the additional costs to avoid sharply raising the prices of regular models.
