In Tashkent schools, the AI Davomat (artificial intelligence) attendance monitoring system is planned to be introduced in another 302 schools in 2027–2028. This is indicated in the capital's khokim's order dated October 6.

Gazeta had previously written that the system was being tested in 26 schools in the Sergeli district, where 446 smart cameras were installed.

The test results were intended to serve as a basis for the gradual implementation of the system in other schools across the city.

According to the khokimiyat, smart cameras and Face ID technology allow recording students' arrival at school and their participation in classes. "This will allow specialists to study the reasons more deeply, cooperate with the family and school, and provide the child with the necessary assistance in a timely manner," the administration noted.

It is emphasized that the system is aimed not only at monitoring attendance, but also at analyzing the organization of classes, student activity, and teaching methods across subjects, classes, and teachers.

The khokim's order refers to the minutes of the President of Uzbekistan's instructions dated September 4 on improving attendance in Tashkent's general education schools and covering all schools with the system.

Currently, there are more than 500 public schools and about 150 private schools in the capital.
