An international half marathon took place in Tashkent with the participation of more than 24 thousand runners

The international half marathon "Tashkent International Half Marathon" was held in the capital, with races at distances of 5 and 21.097 kilometers gathering more than 24 thousand participants.

The official opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the country's leadership, who noted the annual development of mass sports in Uzbekistan and the important role of such competitions in promoting a healthy lifestyle among the population.

According to the results of the competition at the 5-kilometer distance among men, Eldor Botirov won, Ruslan Khadjiev took second place, and Bekhruz Shavkatov took third. In the women's 5-kilometer race, Alina Khakimova came first, Maftuna Akhmedova finished second, and Kamola Ablaeva rounded out the top three.

In the half marathon race of 21.097 kilometers among men, Andrey Petrov took first place, Hasan Mirsoatov won the silver, and Bakhtiyer Utkirov took the bronze. Among women at the same distance, Marjona Akhmadalieva became the best, Sadafbonu Nusratulloeva came second, and Arofathon Imomalieva finished third.
