Several streets in central Tashkent will be closed on September 6 for the international half marathon.

On Sunday, September 6, traffic will be temporarily restricted on several streets in central Tashkent, city administration officials announced.

The restrictions will be in effect from 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM and are related to the Tashkent International Half Marathon. The event is timed to coincide with the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence.

Participants in the half marathon will compete in two distances: 5 km (mass run) and 21 km (half marathon).

Traffic restrictions may also be imposed on adjacent streets if necessary.
