An artificial lake to be constructed in Uchtepa district

Work has begun on creating a recreation area on an empty plot of 90 sotiks in the Qorontepa neighborhood of the Uchtepa district of Tashkent city.

As noted by the press service of the capital's khokimiyat, this project is aimed at improving the region's climate, reducing the amount of dust, and creating opportunities for pleasant leisure for the population.

The reservoir will be located between preschool educational organizations No. 340 and No. 346. Its area will be 0.37 hectares, and its depth will be 2 meters.

It is planned that the lake will be filled through a natural flow of water coming from drainage wells and ditches. Swimming in it will be prohibited.

It is promised that all 66 ornamental trees growing in the area adjacent to the lake will be preserved. New trees will also be planted there. There will be walking paths and benches around the reservoir.

The project is planned to be completed by the end of 2026.
