An artificial lake will appear in the Uchtepa district of Tashkent

An artificial lake and a recreation area are being created on a 90-sotok (0.9-hectare) plot in the Uchtepa district of Tashkent. The work is planned to be completed by the end of the year.

As reported by the press service of the Tashkent khokimiyat, the area of the reservoir itself will be 37 sotoks (0.37 hectares), and its depth will be two meters.

It is planned to use drainage wells and natural water inflow from irrigation channels (aryks) to fill the lake. According to the project's authors, the new reservoir should improve the territory's microclimate and reduce dustiness, while the adjacent area will be equipped for residents' recreation.

At present, work is ongoing. The opening dates of the recreation area and its future infrastructure have not been reported.

As a reminder, an artificial lake is also planned for creation in the Sergeli district. It will include recreation areas on a territory of five hectares.
