A new park area with an artificial lake will appear in the Sergeli district of Tashkent

A new area for walking and recreation featuring an artificial lake, playgrounds, gazebos, and barbecue zones will appear in the Kumaryk mahalla of the Sergeli district in Tashkent. The area will cover five hectares, and construction is intended to be completed by the end of the year.
The project will be implemented as part of a program to create artificial lakes in all districts of the capital. The area of the reservoir itself will be 17 thousand square meters. Spaces will be developed on the remaining territory where residents can spend time with their families, walk, and relax in the fresh air.
In addition to recreation zones, the project includes the installation of solar panels, as well as water filtration and ozonation systems. According to the project's creators, the body of water will reduce dustiness, increase air humidity, and improve the microclimate in the surrounding area.
Currently, more than 30% of the main work at the site has been completed. Construction workers are reinforcing structures and building a retaining wall. By November, it is planned to complete about 800 meters of the wall and fully remove the soil from the bowl of the future lake.
The Tashkent City Khokimiyat reported that geological studies confirmed the suitability of the site for construction. They also emphasized that the work is under constant supervision, and identified deficiencies are being addressed on the spot. Compliance with environmental requirements and legislation has been declared for the project's implementation.
Another project to create a public space for recreation is planned to be implemented in the Shaykhantakhur district of Tashkent. They want to build a park there with a lake, green areas, places for walking and sports, as well as recreation with children. The territory of the future park was previously inspected by the Head of the Presidential Administration, Saida Mirziyoyeva.
