The activities of the Airbnb platform will be developed in Uzbekistan

At the initiative of the Embassy of Uzbekistan and with the support of the National PR Center under the Tourism Committee, an online meeting was organized with representatives of the Airbnb online platform.

The negotiations were attended by Airbnb's Head of Federal Affairs, Aquila Powell, and Policy Lead for International Relations, Nayana Renu Kumar.

During the meeting, it was noted that nearly 12 million foreign tourists visited Uzbekistan in 2025, and in January–July 2026, this figure reached 7.8 million. It was also highlighted that in the first half of this year, more than 13.4 million domestic trips were made under the "Travel around Uzbekistan!" program.

Based on these figures, the parties discussed the development of the activities of Airbnb, considered a world-leading platform for searching and booking temporary accommodation, in Uzbekistan.

At the conclusion of the negotiations, an agreement was reached to continue practical cooperation on increasing the number of accommodation facilities in Uzbekistan on the platform, attracting local hosts and entrepreneurs, and ensuring service and safety standards.
