Air pollution around Uzbekistan's airports will be monitored around the clock
Automatic air quality monitoring stations have been installed near the Farg'ona and Samarqand airports. They are designed to measure the amount of polluting gases and fine dust particles in the air around the clock.

According to information provided by Uzbekistan Airports JSC, the station in Fergana was installed on October 15. In Samarkand, the installation and adjustment of such equipment was completed on October 9. In the future, it is planned to place stations near other airports as well.
The equipment is being installed in the sanitary-protection zones of the airports. They measure the concentration of nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide, ozone, ammonia, and hydrogen sulfide, as well as PM2.5 and PM10 fine particles.
The system simultaneously records air temperature and humidity, atmospheric pressure, wind speed, and direction.
The measurement results are automatically sent to the unified geoinformation database of the Environmental Monitoring System. This allows for monitoring how the air quality around airports is changing.
