Agricultural projects on 2,500 hectares are being implemented in the Nishan district

In the Nishan district of the Qashqadaryo region, 2,500 hectares of desert land are being developed for the cultivation of fodder crops and seed potatoes.

In the Nishan district of the Qashqadaryo region, major agricultural projects are being implemented on an area of 2,500 hectares that was previously not used for agricultural work.

The company "Qashqadaryo – Agro Star" has established the cultivation of fodder crops for livestock using modern technologies on a 1,330-hectare plot.

Another 300 hectares are being developed by the company "Bulung‘ur – Agro Star", which specializes in the production of seed potatoes. As part of the project, elite seeds of five varieties imported from the Netherlands are being planted.

To irrigate the area, 10 Austrian-made BAUER pivot-type circular sprinkler systems have been installed.

Agrotechnical work is being carried out with the participation of foreign specialists and using a scientific and technological approach. In organizing production, soil composition, its moisture level, and climatic conditions are taken into account.

As part of the project, it is planned to build up a reserve of high-quality seed potatoes in the amount of 10,000 tons.
