Intensive pistachio plantations are being created in the Nurabad district.
A project to create 20,000 hectares of pistachio plantations is underway in the Nurabad district. In the first phase, 500 residents will be provided with jobs.

A large-scale project to establish intensive pistachio plantations on state-owned reserve lands is underway in the Nurabad district of Uzbekistan.
The head of the Samarkand region, Adiz Boboev, personally inspected the progress of the work in the Nurdom mahalla, where he surveyed the developing pistachio fields, according to the Samarkand regional khokimiyat.
During the visit, the regional leader gave instructions to gradually increase the planting area.
According to his statement, pistachio plantations are planned for 2,000 hectares this year, with an additional 3,000 hectares planned for next year. The total planting area is expected to reach 20,000 hectares.
Adiz Boboev emphasized that this project goes beyond simply planting trees.
He emphasized that it is critical to bring the plantings to fruiting stage and then hand them over to the local population. This will allow residents to independently tend their plantations, generate income, and sell their harvest. He also emphasized the need for strict adherence to agricultural standards and approved planting patterns.
The initial phase of the project envisions creating jobs for 500 local residents. Contracts will be signed with each resident, assigning them 10 hectares of pistachio plantations.
It is emphasized that the project's implementation is intended to create jobs and provide the population with a stable source of income.
