Activities of technical colleges to teach German in Uzbekistan to be expanded

In the current year alone, orders for 45,000 specialists have been received from Germany to Uzbekistan. However, due to a shortage of personnel with German language proficiency, only 2,000 citizens have been employed.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced this on November 2 during a meeting dedicated to labor migration issues.

The head of state emphasized the need to jointly establish vocational training and foreign language teaching processes to place citizens in high-paying jobs abroad.

It was noted that in cooperation with the German company "Globogate", 1,500 nurses per year are being trained in 20 medical technical colleges across the republic. Meanwhile, at the Technical College of Advanced Vocational Skills in the city of Karshi, teachers from Germany are teaching youth the German language and professional skills.

Additionally, an idle technical college in the Andijan region was renovated by an entrepreneur, and teachers were brought in from Germany. This institution trains 1,500 specialists per year.

The President emphasized the need to expand such practice to other regions and to teach the German language alongside professions in 2–3 technical colleges in each region.

Furthermore, it was reported that the German company "Telk" has begun training 100 German language teachers at the "Intil" international training center. The task was set to involve these teachers in regional technical colleges starting early next year.

At the meeting, the importance of linking orders from foreign employers with the educational process in technical colleges, and preparing young people as specialists equipped with the necessary language skills and practical knowledge for specific jobs, was highlighted.
