Abdusattorov named Sindarov one of the five greatest chess talents in history

Uzbek Grandmaster Nodirbek Abdusattorov believes that Javokhir Sindarov's level of talent puts him in the same row as Garry Kasparov — the 13th world chess champion, who is considered one of the strongest players in history. He also admitted that his compatriot's successes inspired him and helped him regain confidence in his own strength.

"I believe he is among the top five most talented chess players in history. In terms of his natural gift, he is in no way inferior to Kasparov and other great chess players," the grandmaster noted.

According to Abdusattorov, just a few years ago, Sindarov did not devote his full attention to chess, which caused his abilities to remain in the shadows for a long time. But when he focused entirely on the game, his potential unfolded in full measure.

Abdusattorov also shared that the young compatriot's achievements became an additional incentive for him. In 2022, he was the first to cross the 2,700 rating threshold, and until 2025, he was among the world's strongest chess players. However, he has not yet managed to break into the Candidates Tournament. At first, insufficient youth and lack of experience were obstacles, and later — difficulties associated with further professional growth.

According to the grandmaster, he was ahead of Sindarov for many years, but now the situation has changed: his compatriot has moved ahead and was the first to reach an important goal for himself.

"His victories gave me a second wind. Javokhir showed that achieving this is possible, paved the way, and reinforced my self-confidence. Now he is ahead, and I am following him," Abdusattorov admitted.

The chess player emphasized that Sindarov's success became not a reason for off-the-board rivalry for him, but a source of inspiration and confirmation that new heights are attainable.

, that Sindarov rose to second place in the global Live Rapid rankings with a score of 2,742.6 points.
