The facility was operating under makeshift conditions, producing counterfeit cosmetics and household chemicals of well-known global brands. An underground workshop manufacturing counterfeit household chemicals and shampoos was discovered and dismantled in the Tashkent region.
Officers from the Department of the Prosecutor General's Office discovered an illegal production facility in the Chinaz district where cosmetics and household chemicals of well-known global brands were counterfeited.
The organizer of the underground workshop was the head of a limited liability company. Counterfeit products under the brands CLEAR, Chistaya Liniya, GRASS AZELIT, YUMOS, SAFEGUARD, COMET, and Head & Shoulders were manufactured in the warehouse. During the operation, law enforcement agencies seized over 17,000 bottles of finished counterfeit products, 350 kilograms of raw materials (chalk), and thousands of empty containers bearing the logos of famous brands.
According to the Sanitary and Epidemiological Service, all confiscated products do not comply with established sanitary standards and pose a serious health risk to consumers. A criminal case has been opened against the organizer of this case for the manufacture and sale of products hazardous to health. An investigation is currently underway.
