A test launch of an aerological balloon was conducted in Uzbekistan.
An aerological balloon was successfully launched in test mode in the Bukhara region of Uzbekistan, according to a press release from Uzhydromet on August 6.

The first successful test launch of an aerological balloon in Uzbekistan's history took place in the Bukhara region, timed to coincide with the upcoming 35th anniversary of the republic's independence. According to an official statement, this event marks a new milestone in the development of the national hydrometeorological service, opening up extensive opportunities for upper atmospheric research and improving the accuracy of meteorological forecasts.
The aerological balloon is equipped with an advanced weather balloon, which continuously records and transmits data on air temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, as well as wind speed and direction at various altitudes, to a ground station during its ascent.
The information obtained from this sounding is critical for synoptic analysis, the timely detection of potentially hazardous hydrometeorological phenomena, and the provision of accurate meteorological data for aviation, agriculture, and other key sectors of the economy.
