A student from Uzbekistan became the winner of the "Tatar Kyzy – 2026" contest

Amina Mahmudova from Uzbekistan won the international contest "Tatar Kyzy – 2026", the final of which took place in the Turkmen city of Turkmenbashi. The grand prize — a Zeekr 9X SUV — was presented to her on behalf of the country's President Serdar Berdimuhamedow.

Twelve young women participated in the decisive stage. The contestants demonstrated their knowledge of their native language, history, and traditions of the Tatar people, and also showcased their creative abilities.

During the award ceremony, Amina thanked her parents, noting that their love, upbringing, and faith in her were behind her success. In addition, she expressed her gratitude to the Rais of Tatarstan, the World Congress of Tatars, and the contest organizers for the opportunity to represent the Tatar people and their language.

Mahmudova studies at the Batyr Zakirov Institute of National Pop Art, training to become a singer, and works as a vocal teacher.

In addition to the main title, awards in special categories were presented at the contest. The representative of Tatarstan, Dina Zaripova, received the title of "Most Energetic Girl," while Amina was also named the "Most Melodious Girl."

The final was held in Turkmenistan for the first time — the host country is chosen based on the place of origin of the previous year's winner. In 2025, the crown was won by Alsu Rafikova from Dashoguz.

Earlier, a student from Uzbekistan won a contest by "Rosatom" and became part of a scientific and educational expedition to the North Pole.
