Uzbekistan to Establish a State Award for Medical Workers

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev proposed establishing a state award for healthcare workers. It will be named after Ibn Sina.

The head of state came forward with this initiative at a meeting with medical and pharmaceutical workers. The award is planned to be presented to those who care for people's health and implement advanced scientific developments and treatment methods.

The head of state congratulated those present on the upcoming professional holiday and thanked them for their work. He noted that more than 800 thousand employees have made a worthy contribution to the changes in the medical and pharmaceutical sectors.

Recently, a decree was signed on conferring state awards on a group of industry workers. Among them are not only medical professionals, but also entrepreneurs and foreign partners. At the meeting, the president solemnly presented them with the awards.

It also became known that Uzbekistan will develop a single master plan for the development of medical infrastructure for 2026–2036. The president reviewed a presentation on its preparation and the expansion of private sector participation in healthcare.
