A professional certification system will be introduced for technical school masters
According to a government decision, the procedure for assigning qualification categories to masters of production training in vocational education organizations has been abolished, and a professional certification system has been established.
Masters working in vocational education organizations will undergo mandatory certification at least once every 5 years. The certificate is issued for a term of 5 years.
Tests will be conducted in 2 stages, based on a total 100-point system:
• Stage 1 — theoretical knowledge (maximum 30 points);
• Stage 2 — practical skills (maximum 70 points).
To obtain a certificate, a candidate must score at least 70 percent in each of the two stages and achieve a total score of 70 points or higher.
A master who fails the mandatory test will be given one opportunity to retake it. The employment contract of a master who fails the retake as well will be terminated in accordance with the procedure established by legislation.
Masters whose students have taken 1st–3rd places in international or republic-level vocational competitions will be directly issued a professional certificate without testing.
The next mandatory certification will be carried out free of charge. For voluntary, i.e., extraordinary certification, a fee in the amount of 3 times the base calculating amount will be charged. A 10 percent discount will be provided when applying through the Single Interactive State Services Portal or the platform.
