A drug trade worth 26 thousand dollars has been uncovered in Tashkent.
As part of the fight against the illicit trafficking of narcotic substances, comprehensive measures were carried out in cooperation with the State Security Service Department for the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Customs, and Internal Affairs bodies.
As a result, a large quantity of narcotics brought from a neighboring country was seized in the city of Tashkent.
In particular, a resident of the city of Denau in the Surxondaryo region, born in 1988, who had a prior conviction for drug-related crimes, was caught red-handed in one of the hotels in the Yakkasaroy district of Tashkent city while receiving 21 thousand dollars of the agreed 26 thousand USD for selling 1 kg 185 g of "hashish" to a conditional buyer.
Additionally, his accomplice, born in 1987, who had a prior conviction for theft and was the driver of the "Cobalt" vehicle that transported the poison along with him from Surxondaryo to the capital, was also detained near the hotel.
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against these drug traffickers, and investigative actions are underway.
