A new gas condensate field was opened in the Kashkadarya region
A new gas condensate field, "Borisoy," has been discovered in the Guzar district of the Kashkadarya region. Well testing showed an inflow of natural gas and condensate in the volume of 300–400 thousand cubic meters per day. Exploratory drilling in the Shurtan area began on August 5. The well was drilled to a depth of 3,159 meters. The gas inflow was obtained from carbonate rocks at a depth of 2,842–3,001 meters. Currently, specialists are studying the properties […]

A new gas condensate field has been discovered in Kashkadarya region
A new gas condensate field, "Borisoy," has been found in the Guzar district of Kashkadarya region. Well testing confirmed an inflow of natural gas and condensate in the amount of 300–400 thousand cubic meters per day.
Exploration drilling at the Shurtan site started on August 5. The well was drilled to a depth of 3,159 meters. Gas inflow was obtained from carbonate rocks at the depth of 2,842–3,001 meters.
Currently, specialists are studying the characteristics of the productive formations and assessing their potential. Following the completion of testing, the gas is intended to be sent for processing for subsequent delivery to consumers starting October 15.
By the end of the year, there are plans to drill a second exploration well at the field. This will allow for a more detailed study of the site's geological structure and hydrocarbon reserves.
Earlier, new gas facilities were also discovered in other regions of the country. In the Muynak district of Karakalpakstan, drilling of well No. 19 with a flow rate of up to 500 thousand cubic meters of gas per day was completed at the "Zapadny Nizhny Surgil" field. In addition, the "Karatauskoye" gas condensate field was discovered on the Ustyurt plateau. The well flow rate there amounted to 400–500 thousand cubic meters of gas per day.
