A new electric train will reduce travel time between Tashkent and Andijan.

A CR200J electric train from China will soon be launched between Tashkent and Andijan. During test runs, the train completed the journey in four hours. Currently, the train journey between the cities takes six to seven hours.

A Chinese-made CR200J electric train will soon be deployed on the Tashkent-Andijan route. Testing is currently underway, according to the Tashkent Regional Railway Junction.

This train will cover the distance between the cities in just 4 hours. By comparison, the current train travel time is 6 to 7 hours.

The train is designed to carry approximately 400 passengers and can reach speeds of up to 160 km/h.

A similar model of train was recently delivered to the Khorezm region, where it will be used for service between Urgench Airport and Khiva.
