A new electric train service has been launched on the Parkent-Tashkent route

A new intercity electric train service has started on the Parkent-Tashkent route. Passengers can reach their destination in 50 minutes, and the ticket price has been set at up to 10,000 soums for adults and 6,500 soums for children under 10 years old.

A new electric train service has been launched on the Parkent-Tashkent route

Starting from September 7, an intercity electric train has begun serving passengers on the Parkent-Tashkent-Parkent route.

This service was launched following the completion of the construction of the "Baytkorgan-Parkent" railway line, as part of measures aimed at developing Uzbekistan's transport and logistics system.

Within the framework of the project, a 24-kilometer electrified railway, 3 reinforced concrete bridges, 1 road overpass, 76 water drainage structures, and 16 road and railway crossings were constructed. In addition, the "Parkent" railway station with a capacity of 50 seats was also built.

The new electric train has 586 seats and is capable of carrying up to 1,154 passengers in total. Ticket prices are set at up to 10,000 soums for adults and 6,500 soums for children under 10 years old. The journey to Parkent takes approximately 50 minutes.

The new railway service is expected to not only ease travel to the Parkent district but also serve to increase the tourism potential of the region.
