A man was detained in Andijan after promising to license a kindergarten for $10,000.

A man who promised to help obtain a kindergarten license for $10,000 has been arrested in Andijan.
According to Podrobno.uz news agency from Tashkent, a citizen was detained in the Andijan region after demanding $10,000 for his services in obtaining a license and other permits necessary to open a private preschool.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the 42-year-old man offered to assist a resident of the Balykchi district with all the necessary paperwork, claiming to have connections to high-ranking officials. The kindergarten was planned to open in the same district.
The suspect was detained in the Mustaqillik mahalla in Andijan while receiving the first installment of the agreed-upon sum—$5,000. The money was seized and entered into the case as evidence.
A criminal case has been opened. The man remains in custody, and the preliminary investigation is ongoing. Two similar cases of land fraud were previously reported, stopped in Tashkent and Andijan. In one incident, a woman demanded $160,000 for a plot of land from the state reserve, promising to register it through her contacts in the cadastral service.
