A large-scale operation aimed at protecting families and children has started in Turkey

The Turkish government has initiated legal proceedings against 162 suspects, 9 associations, and 13 companies as part of the "My Family is Safe" (Ailem Güvende) operation. This was announced by the Turkish Minister of Justice, Akin Gurlek, on the social network X.

The operation is being conducted under the coordination of the prosecutor's offices of Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Aydin, and Mersin, in cooperation with security agencies and the gendarmerie. Within the framework of the activities covering five central and a total of 15 provinces, legal measures are being taken against 162 suspects, 9 associations, and 13 enterprises, the minister wrote.

According to him, during the investigation, individuals engaged in procuring, as well as enterprises that created conditions for such activities, were investigated.

In addition, individuals suspected of producing and distributing materials contrary to morality, including content related to children, were also separately investigated.

DHA writes that within the framework of operational activities, which included covert surveillance, digital forensics, and witness testimonies, simultaneous operations to detain suspects, conduct searches, and seize items were carried out. Access to the social media accounts and websites of certain associations and activists has also been restricted.
