According to the Ministry of Transport, on October 7, Minister Ilkhom Makhkamov met with a delegation led by Hiroki Sekine, Senior Managing Director and Member of the Board of Directors of JBIC.

During the conversation, the expansion of cooperation on projects in the transport sector and opportunities for their financing were discussed.

Hiroki Sekine noted that interest in participating in projects in Uzbekistan has significantly increased in recent years. He announced the bank's plan to participate in financing 14 projects in the republic over the next three years.

At the meeting, special attention was paid to two projects: the supply of air traffic control systems for the needs of the "Uzaeronavigatsiya Center" and the construction of the new Tashkent international airport.

The parties discussed the current status of these projects and the issues of attracting JBIC funds to them. The official report did not provide information regarding the volume of financing or the signing of a loan agreement.

At the end of the meeting, an agreement was reached to accelerate joint transport projects and continue cooperation on future projects.
