A "green" technical school will be established in Navoiy

A "green" technical school will start operating in Navoiy region
A technical school specialized in training qualified mid-level personnel for the "green" economy will start operating in Navoiy region. This was established by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers dated September 8.
According to the decision, the "green" technical school of Navoiy region is a professional education organization in the form of a state institution under the system of the Agency for Professional Education under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation. The technical school will be located in the Durmon neighborhood of Karmana district, in the buildings and structures at 1a Yangihayot Street, on the basis of the right of free use.
This technical school will train specialists required for the labor market demands and the "green" economy. Students will develop skills in energy efficiency, rational use of resources, waste management, and ecological culture. Topics related to "green" skills will be included in the curricula.
In addition, training of personnel in the form of dual education will be established in cooperation with enterprises and organizations that have implemented "green" technologies. It is also planned to involve specialists from industry enterprises, professors and teachers of higher education organizations, and foreign experts in the educational process, as well as to organize joint educational programs with prestigious foreign educational organizations.
Graduates of general secondary schools will be admitted to the technical school on the basis of state grants and paid contracts. The educational process will be organized on the basis of primary, secondary, and specialized secondary professional education programs. Also, based on the needs of the labor market and proposals of employers, short-term courses on professions, specialties, qualifications, and foreign languages will be organized.
In order to strengthen the material and technical base of the technical school, provide educational and methodological support, and improve the quality of education, it will be attached to the Central Asian Green University (Green University).
The Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation and the National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change were instructed to develop a program of measures for organizing the educational process and ensuring the quality of education at the technical school within one month. The charter of the technical school must be approved by September 15, 2026.
The training of mid-level personnel necessary for the "green" economy will start from the 2026/27 academic year. The deadline for admitting applicants for the 2026/27 academic year on the basis of state grants and paid contracts has been extended until October 1.
In addition, the National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change will attach enterprises and organizations in the region as industrial partners for the professions and specialties taught at the technical school. Measures will be taken to introduce an international educational program at the technical school starting from the 2027/28 academic year.
