A giant Hogwarts will be built in Abu Dhabi

A large area dedicated to the world of "Harry Potter" is being built in the World indoor theme park. It will consist of three themed sections — Hogwarts Castle, Diagon Alley, and the Forbidden Forest.

The main attraction will be a ride in the flying Ford Anglia — the magical car familiar from the films. This was announced by concept designer Kat Chang, who worked on the project in 2024.

Exactly how these mechanisms will work has not yet been disclosed. In Universal parks, visitors can use interactive magic wands that trigger various effects in the scenery, but this system is Universal's own development. Therefore, it is highly likely that a different method of interacting with the environment will appear in Abu Dhabi.

The entire Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi is located indoors, so Hogwarts, Diagon Alley, and the Forbidden Forest will also be placed inside the building. Their construction is planned to be completed by 2029.
