A film about Babur may be co-produced by Uzbekistan and Pakistan
A joint film about Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur is planned to be shot in cooperation between Uzbekistan and Pakistan. This was announced by Asif ur Rehman Khan, Director for Central Asian Republics of the External Publicity Wing of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of Pakistan, in an interview with a Xabar.uz correspondent.
According to him, the project is currently in the development stage. The script is currently being reviewed, and the filming locations and destinations have not yet been finalized.
"I hope the project will be a joint effort. Filming may also take place on the territory of Pakistan. But these issues are yet to be resolved," said Asif ur Rehman Khan.
It is not yet known which country's actors will participate in the film. Details in this regard are being agreed upon by the Directorate of Electronic Media and Publications of Pakistan and the Cinematography Agency of Uzbekistan.
"I understand the interest in whether the cast will consist entirely of Uzbeks, Pakistanis, or representatives of both countries. I think actors from both countries will participate in the film. This will be in line with the spirit of joint cooperation between Pakistan and Uzbekistan," he said.
