Drug courier who brought 80 million soums worth of "hashish" to Bukhara detained

During an operational event conducted in the Bukhara district, the illegal circulation of narcotics was stopped.

A 34-year-old individual was detained while selling 0.38 grams of "hashish" for 800,000 soums. Another 1.35 grams of the narcotic substance was found on his person, and 10.47 grams was found in the car he was driving, both of which were seized as evidence. In his initial testimony, the suspect admitted that he had purchased these substances from a 35-year-old acquaintance from Kokand at the "Bek Baraka" market in the city of Tashkent.

Following this, the operational event was continued. During the investigation, it was revealed that one of the accomplices planned to bring the next batch of drugs to the city of Bukhara. He had set off to sell a total of 200 grams of "hashish" valued at 400,000 soums per gram, with a total value of 80 million soums.

Operational officers stopped the white car driven by the suspect near the Bukhara "Karvon Market". 200 grams of "hashish" was found in the car and seized as material evidence.

A criminal case has been initiated against the suspects under Article 273, Part 6 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan. Preliminary investigative actions are underway.
