A drill and chainsaw stuffed with drugs were sent to Tashkent from Russia.

In Tashkent, two parcels from Russia containing construction tools containing more than 580 grams of the synthetic drug Alpha-PVP were intercepted. In one case, the banned substance was hidden in a drill, and in the other, in a chainsaw.
According to the State Security Service, the first incident occurred in the Chilanzar district, where a 34-year-old resident of the Yunusabad district was detained. An inspection of his drill revealed 478 grams of Alpha-PVP.
The second incident was recorded in the Mirzo-Ulugbek district, where a 17-year-old teenager was found with an additional 107 grams of the same drug in a chainsaw.
According to the investigation, in both cases, the drugs were sent from Russia to Uzbekistan via mail.
Criminal cases have been opened in both cases, and investigations are ongoing.
Earlier, it was reported that a 24-year-old resident of the Urtachirchik district, with a previous criminal record, was detained at Tashkent International Airport. He attempted to smuggle illegal psychotropic substances from Bangkok, disguising them among food products.
