In mid-October, a business delegation consisting of representatives from more than 100 American companies, led by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, will visit the city of Samarkand.
It is noted that the purpose of this visit is to develop the strategic partnership between the US and Central Asia, as well as to strengthen bilateral diplomatic and commercial cooperation.
During the trip, Marco Rubio will participate in the C5+1 ministerial meeting, which will be attended by the foreign ministers of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.
The negotiations will focus particularly on deepening regional economic ties, strengthening energy security, and jointly developing solutions to the region's common priorities within the C5+1 framework.
The US Secretary of State will also discuss with the leadership of Uzbekistan and representatives of the region's countries issues of expanding trade relations, encouraging private sector investment, and supporting economic modernization in Central Asia.
