A congress hall for international forums will be built in New Karshi
"An area of 5,200 hectares, located between the A-378 'Samarkand – Guzar' highway and the 4R-79 road leading to Shahrisabz, was selected for the construction of the new city. This plot consists of unused desert and pasture lands with a low soil quality score. The preliminary master plan is designed for 500 thousand residents,"

The head of state noted that the new city must be designed as a major center that in the future will be calculated for 1 million residents and will become a modern extension of Karshi.
It is planned to relocate the regional khokimiyat and other state institutions there. In addition, a congress hall, concert halls, and hotels will be built. The new complex should become a venue for major international forums, similar to those held in Samarkand and Bukhara.
"The transport network must ensure convenient connection of the city with other areas. The President pointed out the need to launch public electric transport, and if necessary, an elevated metro, which will connect the airport and the railway station with the new city,"
— the press service specified.
It is also reported that during the presentation, a project for a tourist complex along the Karshi Main Canal was reviewed. 235 hectares of land have been allocated for the creation of a three-kilometer zone. The project is planned to be implemented in four stages. At the first stage, it is planned to build a craftspeople's town and create a tourist zone on an area of 30 hectares.
The complex is planned to include hotels, restaurants and shops, a museum, a water park, children's playgrounds, as well as an artificial lake where boating will be possible.
The President instructed that the master plan for the new city and the master plan for the tourist complex be thoroughly developed with the involvement of leading foreign design and architectural companies, incorporating the principles of safety, comfort, accessibility, and a "smart city."
