A "city within a city" is being built in the capital of Tajikistan. What the Dushanbe International District will look like

Residential quarters, business centers, a hotel, a school, a kindergarten, a shopping and entertainment complex, a park, and a lake will appear on the 29-hectare territory. The 340-meter-high Dushanbe Tower will become the main architectural landmark.

In the capital of Tajikistan, a "city within a city" is being built. What Dushanbe International District will look like

In Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, construction has begun on one of the city's largest new urban development projects — Dushanbe International District. The developer of the project is TAS International Group, which intends to create a fully-fledged multifunctional district on a 29-hectare site over five years.

This will not be an ordinary residential complex of several buildings. The concept envisages the creation of an independent urban environment where housing will coexist with offices, retail space, hotel and educational infrastructure, restaurants, sports facilities, and recreation areas.

The foundation stone of the complex was laid on September 3 by the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, and the Chairman of Dushanbe, Rustam Emomali. And on October 1, TAS International Group opened real estate sales in the new district.

It is planned to construct 52 buildings and structures on the territory of the complex, including five high-rise towers. The total construction area will be about 1.7 million square meters.

Upon completion of construction, around 38,000 people will be able to live in the district.

At the same time, a significant part of the project will be occupied by non-residential infrastructure. It is planned to create more than 4,300 jobs here, and according to project estimates, the business, retail, and public spaces will be able to accommodate between 40,000 and 70,000 visitors daily.

A large-scale parking infrastructure is separately provided — a total of about 11,000 parking spaces.

It is this combination of housing, business, and social infrastructure that lies at the heart of the Dushanbe International District concept.

"We are creating not just a residential complex, but a fully-fledged modern urban environment. Here you can live, work, play sports, go shopping, take your child to school or kindergarten, meet friends in a restaurant, or spend time with your family in the park," said Alijon Kodirov, a representative of TAS International Group.
