The head of state emphasized at the meeting that Korea is an important partner for Uzbekistan and noted the need to bring cooperation between the two countries in the field of education and personnel training to a new level.

"We will create a new three-year program with Korea on bringing and employing our children, and educating our children," Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

According to the president, this program will primarily be aimed at vocational training for young people, opening new opportunities for them, and effectively adopting Korean experience.

He stated that instructions are being given to strengthen vocational guidance in higher education institutions in this regard as well.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced that rectors of universities in the republic are being instructed to teach students a profession after classes.

"I am saying: you will give your classes until three o'clock, and after three, you will teach my children a profession. A person with a profession will never be miserable," he said.

The president also said that a new opportunity would be created for young people studying in Korea who are not fully satisfied with their current studies.

After that, worthy candidates will be awarded a Presidential Scholarship to study a new profession for 6 months at the best Korean universities, and their educational expenses will be covered.

"I want to implement a Korean experience of training for a new profession for six months at the best Korean university, paying both the scholarship and the tuition," Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

The head of state indicated that this experience would later be applied in other countries as well.
