A 17-year-old citizen of Uzbekistan has been returned from Turkey following a forced marriage and abuse

The Migration Agency and the Consulate General, with the participation of lawyers, provided consular and legal assistance to the underage compatriot. All expenses related to her return to her homeland were paid from the funds of the Migration Fund.

Currently, issues regarding her safety, as well as social, legal, and psychological protection, are under the control of the relevant organizations.

The Agency called on citizens abroad who have faced abuse, forced labor, humiliation, or severe financial hardship to seek help.

In such situations, individuals can contact the foreign offices of the Migration Agency, as well as the diplomatic missions and consular posts of Uzbekistan.
