According to the National Statistics Committee, in January–July 2026, 65,876 passenger cars worth 920.4 million USD were imported into Uzbekistan from 29 countries.

Electric vehicles clearly dominated the import structure. They amounted to 46,749 units, which is equivalent to almost 71 percent of the total imports.

There were 10,987 gasoline-powered passenger cars and 8,077 hybrids. Another 63 cars belonged to other types.

The majority of the imported cars were brought from China. 63,039 passenger cars were delivered from this country.

This accounts for almost 96 percent of the total imports. The remaining car imports came from the USA, the Republic of Korea, Japan, and other countries.

765 passenger cars were imported from the USA, 737 from the Republic of Korea, and 345 from Japan. Other countries accounted for 990 cars.

The number of electric cars was more than 4.3 times higher than gasoline-powered cars. Meanwhile, fewer hybrid cars were imported than gasoline-powered ones.

Out of a total of 65,876 cars, 46,749 run on electricity, 10,987 run on gasoline, and 8,077 are hybrids. The remaining 63 cars belonged to other types.
