56 new carriages put into operation in Tashkent metro

The new trains are operating on four lines of the metro. As a result, the interval between train movements has been shortened, especially during rush hours.

56 new subway cars put into service in Tashkent metro

The Tashkent Metro train fleet has been enriched with 14 modern trains, making a total of 56 new cars. This was reported by the metro administration.

A total of 14 modern trains were planned to be purchased during 2026. All the planned cars were brought to the metro fleet before the start of the new academic year.

Due to the purchase of new trains, the Tashkent Metro managed to renew nearly 70 percent of its train fleet.

The new trains are operating on four lines of the metro. As a result, the interval between trains has been reduced, especially during peak hours.
