174 million euros will be allocated for the development of Tashkent's pediatric oncology service

Tashkent plans to upgrade its system for diagnosing and treating oncological and hematological diseases in children. The project is valued at 174 million euros.

The corresponding concept was approved by the Tashkent City Kengash of People's Deputies.

The project includes the construction of a new diagnostic and treatment block in Tashkent, as well as the reconstruction and modernization of the existing pediatric oncology center. The medical facilities are to be equipped with modern equipment for the diagnosis and treatment of children.

A separate focus of the project will be specialist training. It provides for the training and professional development of doctors and other medical personnel working with children with oncological, hematological, and immunological diseases. The Kengash's decision on the project was adopted on October 8.
