150 heads of pedigree cattle were brought to Andijan from Belgium by plane

150 heads of pedigree cattle were delivered by plane from the Belgian city of Liège to Andijan. This was reported by Uzbekistan Airports.

A Boeing 777-300 cargo aircraft belonging to Challenge Air Cargo landed at Andijan International Airport on September 21 at 06:05.

The aircraft carried 150 heads of pedigree cattle with a total weight of 82.5 tons. Unloading of the animals, veterinary inspection, and loading onto special transport were carried out at the airport.

On August 4, a Boeing 747-400F aircraft had also landed at the airport. At that time, 160 heads of pedigree cattle with a total weight of 83.3 tons were brought from Liège.

Local entrepreneurs plan to bring nearly 1,000 heads of pedigree cattle to Uzbekistan by the end of the year. The next cargo flights are expected to be operated by Air Atlanta and Challenge Air Cargo.

The reconstruction of the airfield complex of Andijan Airport was completed in March 2025. Within the framework of the project, the runway, taxiways, apron, and aircraft parking stands were completely renovated.
