10 billion pounds before winter: Britain is stepping up aid to Ukraine
Great Britain has approved an additional £10 billion assistance package for Ukraine. It includes loans, export financing guarantees, and £500 million in emergency military aid for the upcoming winter.

10 billion pounds ahead of the winter season: Britain increases aid to Ukraine
According to DW, British Finance Minister John Healey announced the new package during a speech in the House of Commons. Its total value is approximately equal to 12 billion euros.
According to a British government representative quoted by Reuters, 500 million pounds from the package will be directed to addressing urgent gaps in Ukraine's air defense system.
Healey stated that prior to his speech in parliament, he and Prime Minister Andy Burnham spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Zelenskyy assessed the aid as a "timely step"
The President of Ukraine called Britain's new financial and military aid "a truly strong and timely step." He emphasized that Moscow must see that Ukraine will not be left alone with its problems.
"Every step toward strengthening Ukraine brings Russia closer to realizing the need to end this war," Zelenskyy said.
He stated that the sanctions policy was also discussed during the conversation with Burnham, and that Britain maintains its firm position on this matter.
Netherlands Prime Minister Rob Jetten announced on October 28, following a meeting with Zelenskyy in The Hague, that 500 million euros in military aid would be allocated to Ukraine for the winter season. According to Reuters, the funds will be spent on the delivery of drones and other equipment necessary to strengthen Ukraine's defense.
In addition, the Dutch government will direct 1.2 billion euros in non-military assistance to Ukraine over the next three years. In particular, 380 million euros are planned for reconstruction work in 2027, and 410 million euros each in 2028 and 2029.
Part of the funds will be allocated to funds supporting Dutch companies investing in the reconstruction of Ukraine. Urgent repairs to energy infrastructure and the purchase of machinery for industry are also planned.
Zelenskyy reported that a meeting was also held in The Hague with enterprises from both countries in the defense, energy, and software sectors. As a result, the parties tasked their teams with developing a special air defense project named Bliksem.
