Uzbekneftegaz Intensifies Efforts to Maintain Gas Production Levels

Abdulgani Sanginov, Chairman of Uzbekneftegaz, has directed the company to formulate a comprehensive strategy to mitigate the decrease in natural gas production at sites managed by the Mubarek Oil and Gas Production Department.
This instruction was given during a session focused on the company's production and investment objectives.
The meeting assessed Uzbekneftegaz's performance in the first half of 2026, as presented to the President of Uzbekistan, and established critical goals for the latter half of the year.
As per the company, the president mandated Uzbekneftegaz to ensure meticulous preparations for the upcoming autumn and winter period and to guarantee consistent provision of natural gas and petroleum products to residential areas, public institutions, and the national economy.
In response, the company declared its commitment to bolstering its hydrocarbon reserves, sustaining and augmenting natural gas output, averting production drops at existing sites, expediting geological exploration, and refining the efficacy of geological and technical interventions.
Uzbekneftegaz anticipates the full operational launch of small compressor stations at the Shimoliy Berdak and Sharqiy Berdak fields by the close of September, following the completion of all associated infrastructure development.
The gathering also outlined objectives for integrating digital technologies and innovative approaches, refining geological data analysis, boosting management effectiveness, and preparing the necessary material and technical resources for geological and technical operations slated for 2027.
The pertinent departments were tasked with developing proposals to increase the output of aviation kerosene and diesel fuel, while simultaneously guaranteeing an uninterrupted supply of diesel to agricultural enterprises during the cotton harvesting season.
Subsequent to the meeting, the company's leadership directed the responsible departments to achieve production quotas, activate new wells on schedule, finalize infrastructure projects within the stipulated timeframes, and reinforce adherence to implementation protocols.
