The Embassy of Uzbekistan in India recently hosted a roundtable discussion focused on fostering investment and industrial collaboration between Uzbekistan and India. The event drew in key figures from prominent Indian businesses.
Abdulla Azizov, Director of the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency, was part of the Uzbek delegation, which was headed by Laziz Kudratov, the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade. The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) co-organized the roundtable.
Among those participating in the discussions were Vikramjit Singh Sahney, Chairman of the CII International Council, along with executives and representatives from leading Indian firms spanning the pharmaceutical, chemical, banking, financial, and other vital sectors.
Attendees were presented with an overview of Uzbekistan's investment opportunities, current reforms in its healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors, and potential avenues for establishing high-value-added manufacturing, facilitating technology transfer, and launching joint investment projects.
Following the meeting, Indian business representatives conveyed their eagerness to increase investment in Uzbekistan, form joint ventures, and enhance cooperation between the business communities of both nations.
