Uzbekistan, Tashkent – Podrobno.uz News Agency.

A team led by Bilolkhon Ismailov has developed the "Shunkor-88" interceptor drone in Uzbekistan, designed to combat unmanned aerial vehicles. The project was presented as part of the "Engineers of the Future" competition.

According to the developers, the "Shunkor-88" can reach speeds of up to 450 kilometers per hour and engage threatening drones at a range of 8 to 10 kilometers. The drone is planned for use in airspace protection.

One of the key advantages of the new development is its cost-effectiveness. While the cost of a single air defense missile can range from $2 to $5 million, production of the "Shunkor-88" is estimated at approximately $20,000 to $50,000. The creators are confident that such technologies will offer an affordable alternative and contribute to the development of domestic engineering solutions.

It was previously reported that Aizada Asanova, winner of the "Engineers of the Future" festival, received a Volkswagen electric car as a prize.
