Uzbekistan's gold exports plummeted in June 2026, registering a 76.8 percent decrease, with no gold shipments recorded for the month, according to the National Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics.
The agency's data reveals that the total value of gold exports for the first half of 2026 (January–June) remained at US$1.504 billion. This figure is identical to the total recorded at the end of May, confirming that no gold was exported during June.
In contrast, Uzbekistan had exported US$6.492 billion worth of gold during the January–June period of 2025. This significant drop translates to a 76.8 percent reduction in gold exports year-over-year.
The proportion of gold within the nation's total exports also saw a substantial decline, falling from 37.3 percent in January–June 2025 to 9.5 percent in the same period of 2026.
Despite the sharp decrease in gold exports, Uzbekistan's overall foreign trade turnover for January–June 2026 reached US$41 billion. This represents an increase of US$2.8 billion, or 7.4 percent, compared to the corresponding period last year.
