Uzbekistan among gold buyers as central banks rebalance

A recent report from the World Gold Council (WGC) indicates that central banks globally divested a combined 66 tonnes of gold during the initial month of this spring, as they rebalanced their portfolios.

Turkey emerged as the leading seller, offloading 60 tonnes of the precious metal, with Russia also reducing its holdings by 6 tonnes.
