Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A recent meeting saw Uzbekistan's Deputy Prime Minister, Jamshid Khodjaev, engage with Zhao Yaqin, president of the Beijing Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Entrepreneurs, alongside representatives from prominent Chinese enterprises. The discussions centered on the prospects for executing investment projects and fostering enduring industrial collaboration between the two nations.

Key initiatives across various sectors, including agriculture, industry, energy, digital technologies, and healthcare, were the primary focus of the talks.

Among the significant undertakings highlighted was a proposal from Shaanxi Orange Industrial. This initiative involves developing 27,400 hectares of pasture and rain-fed land within Uzbekistan's Jizzakh region for the cultivation and subsequent processing of oilseed crops. The projected capital outlay for this particular project surpasses US$140 million.

Concluding the session, both parties committed to intensifying efforts on all projects currently under review and to maintaining robust coordination with pertinent governmental agencies. Their shared objective is to transition swiftly from the agreements reached to the tangible execution of these initiatives.
