Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia to Accelerate Investment Projects
Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia agreed to accelerate joint investment projects in energy, infrastructure, water, healthcare and digital infrastructure.

Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia are poised to accelerate their joint investment initiatives.
In Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjaev held discussions with Mohammad Abunayyan, who serves as co-chairman of the Uzbek-Saudi Business Council and chairman of ACWA's board of directors. Their meeting focused on the implementation status of existing joint investment projects and outlining future cooperation priorities.
Both sides underscored the importance of expediting the execution of previously established agreements and expanding the participation of Saudi investors within Uzbekistan's key economic sectors.
According to Jamshid Khodjaev, the current portfolio of collaborative projects encompasses areas such as energy, infrastructure, water supply and wastewater management, district heating, healthcare, and digital infrastructure.
Significant projects highlighted include the construction of a new international airport in Tashkent, representing an investment of US$2.75 billion; wastewater management projects valued at US$300 million; and the development of a data center, with an estimated investment of US$150 million.
Jamshid Khodjaev stated that fostering stronger business ties and broadening the investment partnership between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia would generate new opportunities for sustainable economic growth and long-term cooperation.
