Uzbekistan and Türkiye to expand tourism cooperation
Uzbekistan and Türkiye agreed to expand cooperation in tourism, personnel training, investment projects, and the promotion of joint tourism initiatives.

Uzbekistan and Turkey intend to deepen their partnership in tourism.
Abdulaziz Akkulov, Chairman of the Uzbekistan Tourism Committee, held talks with Ufuk Ulutas, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Uzbekistan. During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for further development of bilateral cooperation in the tourism sector.
The meeting focused on increasing mutual tourist flow, strengthening ties between tour operators and air carriers, and implementing joint investment and marketing initiatives.
Particular attention was paid to developing human capital in the tourism sector. In particular, the possibility of organizing advanced training and experience exchange programs for Uzbek hotel industry professionals in Istanbul and Antalya was discussed. Ways to develop educational and scientific-practical cooperation with the University of Cappadocia were also explored.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to take bilateral cooperation to a qualitatively new level. This will be achieved by strengthening ties between tourism organizations, tour operators, airlines, educational institutions, and travel agencies. Joint forums, B2B meetings, and investment projects are planned.
Furthermore, the Turkish side has received an invitation to participate with a national stand in the International Tourism Fair "Tourism on the Silk Road," which will be held in Tashkent in November 2026.
