Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) – Sherzod Hidoyatov, Uzbekistan's Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services, met with Guido De Sanctis, Italy's newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan.

Their discussion centered on potential avenues for expanding bilateral cooperation across construction, architecture, urban planning, and housing and communal services.

The minister commenced the meeting by congratulating the Italian diplomat on assuming his role in Uzbekistan and extended wishes for a successful diplomatic tenure.

Key topics during the talks included sustainable territorial development, the adoption of contemporary urban planning strategies, the application of energy-efficient and eco-friendly construction methods, enhancing the seismic resilience of structures, and upgrading public utilities infrastructure.

Furthermore, the meeting addressed prospects for fostering direct collaboration among pertinent organizations, research institutions, and business entities from both nations, organizing joint seminars, and executing practical projects.
